Random cellphone pics

So somebody knows the way, eh? Was the road paved with good intentions?

Not sure if it was good intentions, but it sure as hell needed repaving... shook my truck all to hell (and back from) probably causing my exhaust leak, which I suspect must be where the manifold bolts to the engine, because during my post trip I couldn't find anything underneath the truck or under the hood.... stupid "mid engine" design... exhaust bolts on the rear side of the engine compartment where it is covered by the cab... there's a doghouse inside the cab, but it doesn't come off easily, I suspect that some of the the lower dash goes with it... otherwise I'd know for sure where that leak was coming from.... I'm glad I don't have to sleep in a truck anymore

Surprised that sign was not in Jackson County Michigan. Jackson County and truckers have a million legendary stories!

Mt. Hood, looking every bit like the volcano it is..

IMG_20140612_000831.webp

It's just a cloud formation, but at first glance, it appeared to be steam coming from the caldera. While the mountain is commonly considered to be dormant, the last eruption was only a little over 100 years ago.

I picked two little girls up at the Portland Airport with a friend some years ago. We were talking about the mountains on the way back to the Central Oregon coast and I made mention that they are all volcanoes. I turned around at a small squeal and found the younger of the two hunched down in the corner of the back seat with her knees drawn tightly to her chest, eyes squinched closed and fingers in her ears. I quickly explained that all of them were sleeping and we would just talk a little quieter so we wouldn't wake them. She seemed relieved and satisfied with that and was able to relax. Heh..

My daughter saw a thing on Mt St Helen. She is sitting there watching the tv and Crys and I are remembering ash covered cars in Colorado when we were kids.

My daughter tourned to my wife and said "Holy crap your like that old?"

I left:hide:
