When I was by myself on my 750 I could corner with the best of 'em & it was a cruiser.
That Shadow was before the cruisers had morphed into Harley clones, @Duck .

Different motorcycles designed for different purposes.

It's a sport-bike enthusiast trying to "prove" a bagger can't corner like a sport bike.

Well, DUH! It's a cruiser, stupid. Ride it like a cruiser.

....I certainly would not want to take a sport bike for a long ride. It's not designed for that.

Yeah, that ZX-9 was a comfy all-day bike as long as the tankbag was on there to support your chest.

It's actually pretty amazing what some non "sport" bikes can do nowadays; my Wing will go through anything except the really tight stuff as fast as I care to ride on the street. And do it two up with luggage.

Part of being a good rider is understanding the limitations of your equipment. Saying a cruiser can't corner a low as a sporter is not a question of manhood or a dig against a rider's abilities. It's a statement of fact based on high-school level geometry and physics. Your friends who had sporters apparently did not ride to the bike's potential, which is very often the case with those things. An experienced and skilled rider on a cruiser can very often keep up with a sporter ridden by a less skilled rider. You being able to keep up with them perhaps speaks to your superior skill.

I was packing with one of my brothers last year, who is one of the more skilled riders in the group. He had to push it pretty hard to catch up with the group. Not because of anything I did, so hush... Anyway, we ended up going well into triple digits through this:

The pegs were scraping the ground. It speaks to his skill as a rider. All I did was hang onto his waist and glue myself to his back. He was able to do this on an old bagger, with a passenger. I am nowhere near that skill level. I'm not even in the same swimming pool. My motorcycle has the ability to way out-do that old bagger. But I simply cannot keep up with him when he's riding at 75% of his potential because I don't have that kind of skill. Yet.

Ok,time to get more random.
Rig Jockey, this pic came to me from a friend in Ontario....
Didn't know that Canadians did this to stay warm...

Illinois has been terrible this year. The wind blowing the snow across the road is a hazard long after these storms pass. It's crazy. I blame @Duck. He live in Ill and annoyed....

This was today in Arkansas. @Mike lives in Arkansas...so this is his fault.

A roof covered with ASTROTURF. Isn't that stuff permeable? Why would you even bother covering a roof with something that lets water pass through?

Here we see an H3 hummer parked outside it's mansion. I couldn't really get a picture of the trash strewn about the yard, but it's obvious these people have their priorities STRAIGHT. Pursuit of wealth and status above ALL ELSE. Even cleanliness.
