Pre-Trip Engine

Hello. I have never looked at an engine like this and I am missing a few things while going over a pre-trip for the first time today. Do you recognize what is circled in these pictures? Thanks.

The first one is the dryer for your air conditioning system oh, the second is the fuel filter

I am not sure why they circled the fuel filter and not the steering arm. the steering arm needs to be checked for free-play.

Because I wasn't unsure of the steering arm. One thing I didn't find on my own was an air compressor.

No school, I was offered to try driving if I got a CDL. I took a couple of random pictures of their truck to help teach myself.

Good for you. Asking about what something is or what you should do around your rig is a good thing.

Yeah, finding the engine on a cabover is a bit tricky.....

Pre- Trip on engine in the real world ......only will matter how long you'll be able to drive., not really a issue if its minor. there are MANY things that can wait until the next stop or end of shift, don't make a mountain out of a ant hill !
