Possible Spleen Injury?

Had the ultrasound and x-ray this morning. I have a perfect liver and gall bladder, my kidneys are clear and normal size, she didn't really say anything about my stomach and pancreas, but when she got to the spot that hurts, I asked what that was over. Spleen. She took a lot of time on that, took about seven pictures and measurements, but didn't say anything.
I didn't see my rib x-ray pictures.
My doctor will get the results tomorrow.

you could have a cyst on your spleen. i have several of them on both my kidneys and last year, i had to go to the hospital to have one drained, so that my urologist could blast my stones. (which were all in my left kidney)
i have at least one renal cyst that is a "complex renal cyst", but it is non-cancerous. a complex renal cyst, has several pockets. some can be cancer, but more often than not, they end up being nothing more than a nuisance.
so if you happen to have a cyst, the doctor can have it drained or removed, or just have you go back every so many months to check it's size, then go from there.
i don't know if you have a cyst of course, and whether or not the accident caused one to form. your doc will tell you.
i know when i had my motorbike wreck, one or 2 of the cysts on my kidney ruptured, causing blood inside of me to make the x-rays suspicious of a more severe injury to my kidney. i had to tell the doctor of my renal cysts. he then was able to determine form that, the cysts were broken during the crash.
so going by this, i did some searching (as you must have) and found that a spleen injury can show up much later than the day it was actually injured.
we all hope/wish for the best case scenario for you, cuz as i read it, you could be sidelined for a few to a few months for it to heal, or longer, if it has to be removed.
so let's hope it's just a simple thing like a gas bubble, that's stuck in your intestine and you ain't farted it out yet...

Sure hope you can get some sound answers can sure understand why you want to get it fixed. My concern was that spleen can be pretty serious.
Yes, it can. That's why I was concerned enough to get it looked at. The referred pain map pointed that direction.
I'm just not a big fan of "I dunno" where it comes to this stuff.

My dad had his spleen removed when he was 12.
I didn't know they could do invasive surgery back in the Civil War Era.
Some other kid thought it would be funny to remove the axle nuts on the front wheel of my dad's bicycle & leave it set on the kickstand so it wouldn't fall off when he picked it up.
Somehow he injured his spleen in the resulting crash.

When I hear of pain that goes to the right clavicle I think of air under the diaphragm. Hope you got checked out and made sure there wasn't a rupture or perforation somewhere.
November 7 for the stress test.
On another note, I got the bill for the ultrasound and x-ray. They wanted an additional $1,400 for a liver and bile system scan. I called them and told them I didn't feel like paying for something that was neither ordered nor done. This is two times in a row now that I've gotten additional billing for something I paid for up front. They tried to get me to pay more for the mammogram I had done in July. Told them no. I paid at time of service and took advantage of the cash discount.
Last year, I had a 12-lead strip run. I had originally gone to a clinic to get it, but the doctor freaked out and sent me to the emergency room. ER doctor got pissed (not at me) and said since he didn't do anything except waste my time waiting on him, he wouldn't charge me. It was a 30 second encounter that I waited two hours for. Few months later, after paying the facility bill, I got a bill from his office. I called his billing people and set them straight, too. That was $750 I didn't owe.
Makes me wonder how much of our inflated mefical costs are the result of over-billing for services not rendered and how many people just pay it out of ignorance.

Just saw all your posts, I would now that some time has gone by if you still have pain, recommend a CT scan. Glad they are checking the heart as well.

Stress test today: No caffeine=very low blood pressure. First was below 80 systolic. Might have been a mistake. Second was 96/58. Pulse rate running around 88. This is at rest.
It took nearly 10 minutes to get my heart rate up to 140, the testing rate. I was able to carry on a conversation the whole time and didn't break a sweat until almost finished.
Nurse raised her eyebrows at how low my blood pressure was throughout the test. She said the higher pulse rate is probably compensation for the low blood pressure.
So, my next questions are: What medication do they give for low blood pressure? What do they look for to prescribe it? and What action does it take to work? (like beta blockers and alpha inhibitors for high BP)
