Pay Cut?

I've never run the 48 states so I don't know how rested that is.

All I know is local. Sometimes it's tiring, sometimes you don't feel like you did anything.

you ran the max driving hours, took your 8 (back then), got up, had some food, shower, etc, start running again towards your destination.

i got much better sleep back then. my current job, i run nightly,. start about 9 PM, get home by about 5 AM, get about 3-4 hours worth of sleep, take a mid-day nap, back to work, maybe take a quick nap in the truck, start the route, copy/paste for 5 nights.

I don't start for another 4 hours but I've got three loads and a little over 500 miles planned so far. I'm thinking this is probably doable in one day. I've been to two of the places a bunch of times already at my old job.

they may very well call you in after a 10.
They do. It's standard procedure to only get 10-ish off. I stayed/am staying in the truck even though I'm at the yard. Wasn't in the mood to go anywhere.

Also they're paying my local rate so far. I'm making a killing. Ugh.

I say ugh because this doesn't give me a feel for what I'd actually make, unless they keep me as a local who happens to run a sleeper on the long stuff.

Watching predownloaded shows on my $33 Kindle. Bunk heater keeping me nice and toasty.

Haha there's a cable here for antenna but I don't know how anyone would fit a TV in this dinky bunk. There aren't any floor cabinets. Just a little overhead.

That's called surrendering. There's plenty of ways of dealing with a real screen.
hell depending on the truck you could easily drop in a 32 inch surround sound ps 3 and xbox and still have room left over for your clothes and personal belongings and a fridge:D
