I took the pay cut and I got it pretty good! Sure it is pure B.S. from start to finish 9 hours a day. But it starts at 06:00 and ends at 15;00.
Time and a half after 44 hours so I get 8 hours OT every pay. anything much more than than and you are just getting taxed.
Plenty of perks and Tons of SWAG.
Fully paid benefits by the company ( no co-pay). No co-pay on medications.
profit sharing and safety bonus.
Retirement plan.
And everything I wanted in the last two years of OTR, Quality of life!

I don't ever see me going back OTR, Regional or even local

That's about what I cleared. Maxing out the company match 401k @ 6%. Medical isn't coming out yet since I'm still probationary but I'm also not claiming myself so taxes are being overpaid. I'll get a sizable refund.

give up the kids for adoption. sure they may hate you forever and ever, but you gotta live too, that's what i'd do..!!!

like i said, sooner or later you're gonna slow down. my job (i may have mentioned it several time ago) i work about a 40 to 45 hour week, home weekends. as a result i can get things done here at my house, the current job you have now, you know you have nearly no time, when you get home.

what does it get down to? time for yourself and home and hobbies, or the 4 kids at home crying they don't get to see you all that often.

so, adoption, or move onto a better job situation you can have a home life for.

and if you do give up your 4 kids for adoption, you can always father more.

what i don't get is the ones bitchin about they don't pay enough well then why are you working there stupid hell there the stupid one that keeps going back there everyday. if one thinks they under pay and that there a bad company then find another job!!! were in america and not russia but they rather whine about what one pays. it's simple don't work there and have skills and more than minimum skills. ones retirment is up to them and not the employer of the gooberment as i trust the gooberment with money as far as i can throw them. if my employee's that are not a part of a union i would fire them on the spot. so instead of them getting 20.00 an hour they get squat. i'll be dammed if someone tells me what i am going to pay them
