Our High Calling

Neighbor's dog didn't recognize my Honda yet. He's used to the wagon and pickup. He saw my car pull out yesterday but just stared until I did my loop and he could see me behind the wheel. Then he came lumbering over then stopped. I got out and he made a beeline for me. Gave him a rub down, said hello, then he sat on my foot so I couldn't leave.

He wouldn't move off my foot until the neighbor physically pulled him off it. He just sat there and stared at his owner like WTF you gonna do about it. 😀

He's a Rottweiler.

A friend has a Rottweiler.

That thing stands up and puts it's paws on my shoulders and it's almost eye level with me at 6'.

When my dog goes that, he's eye level with my stomach.

Their dog does the same but he looks down on me. Like every human on the planet. He's still young.

I'm glad he doesn't think I'm food.

My dog (RIP) would be eye level with my knee or thereabouts.

When I was a teenager I worked at a crane shop and one of the guys there, Nick, was either a dwarf or a "little person/midget".

He was probably a little too tall to be a midget, I dunno... Been over 25 years since I last saw him.

Anyway he was older than me and had worked at Borg Warner. Boss had me help him put a wet kit on a straight truck we were also adding a crane to.

I wasn't paying much attention, I was sitting on the floor under the truck working on it and there was this bolt I couldn't pull loose from that position. Nick grabbed the wrench and pulled it loose and that's when I noticed he was standing up on his feet, under this truck, eye level with the transmission. :biglaugh:

He had this brown 1970's Ford truck with 4wd and lift kit. It was hilarious watching him climb in & out of it. 😂

Yeah I'm proportional my pituitary gland is/was just defective.

My friend had a Pitbull. His mom was scared of the dog and couldn't find her son so she asked me to take the dog for the night. I made him a bed from a comforter blanket but, he woke up in the middle of the night barking.
I don't know if he had a nightmare or just didn't know where he was. I turned the light on and petted him to comfort him and he was fine after that. kind of scary when a Pitbull is upset.
He was a good dog if you tapped your chest he would stand up and put his paws on your chest. he was almost as tall as I am.
He was okay with people he just didn't like other dogs.

I should add I was mauled by a German Sheppard when I was three. Dog turned my face inside out. I had stitches everywhere on my face. Not to worry the Plastic surgeon did a great job! I am sexy and I know it. ;)
In school they would call me Scarface and I would get mad and get into fights. Because I had never seen the movie.:biglaugh:

You would be the perfect Peterbilt driver. You look at the truck going by and all you see is half a head above the door sill.
Um, no... actually.

A mid 00's Pete 386 is designed to accommodate a driver who is 6 foot 1" + with disproportionately long legs (unless it's an automatic).

In order to pin the clutch to the firewall to use the clutch brake, I always had to slide my ass forward off the seat a little bit. Moving the seat forward would have put the steering wheel too close to me. I like to have my arms outstretched just a tad more than that. And also there's the air bag you don't want to be too close to.

No problem reaching the other two pedals though, and no problem with normal clutch operation. Just pinning it down to use the clutch brake.

It would be fine now that they're all automatic now though.
