No more yard jockeys?

I like how it's still a cumbersome jockey truck when it could be a basic platform that spins 360° requiring a lot less space to maneuver.

There's no driver, people. You don't need a freaking cab.
Obviously it's in its early phases.

In other areas I think things are progressing faster than anyone realizes.

I saw job postings the other day for people to come help build 100% autonomous factories.

Some areas are going to disappear faster than others.

I think maybe working with existing stuff and understanding functionality and practicality is the plan before designing totally new platforms...
Gotta have somewhere to put all the electronics. The computer and all the sensors it will need to function.

I am sure my job could be automated even though I go on the road. It's only two Km around the block to the warehouse. Not really a big deal.
The robot truck would still be waiting for non-backers to try and hit the dock while it waits, like I wait. Not a big deal.

Robot truck would probably deal with the retards at the plants better than I do.
Maybe I will suggest it to the boss. I know they won't go for it because it costs way more money.
Yes, initially it costs more but in the long run you will save money not paying me!

Robots are assholes. They'd act like Amazon jockeys.

This thread is not at all what I was expecting
