Name of Canister on 1987 Pete

Can someone tell me the name of this canister and give me a part number? I believe it is an old fuel cooler or water separator on a 1987 Pete 379 mounted on passenger side frame under hood.

It may be a fuel heater by the looks of the hoses going in and out of it. Can you trace the hoses?

Coolant and fuel lines run into the canister. Nothing electrical. Thanks for responding

By the ball valve on top rear, it may have the ability to shut it off too. And because I see a thumb screw, I'm wondering if there may be a filter incorporated in it. It's been a long time since I was able to look under the hood of a mid 80's truck.

It’s a Webb 525 fuel water separator.

Used to be made in west Fargo ND. (Where I spent too many years of my life) Been out of business for over a decade now.

Don’t get too attached to it… all aftermarket and not a good reputation really.

Looks like that one is attached to an N-14.

Mine is attached to 3406b and the 525 heaters seems to have been neglected.

Any recommendations on replacement?

I was thinking dual filter head with 1 water separator and one regular cat filter and putting a heater somewhere else.

It's been a long time since I was able to look under the hood of a mid 80's truck.

I'm floating machines with an 88 Western Star most days. It definitely has "character". Puts it out as fast as you put it in when it's not running. Water pump is supposed to be in tomorrow.
