Miles with Werner

I have to agree with larry on this.u think u got a lot of bs think again go to puerto rico where I am from and have been trucking all my life.its part of the usa and we got the stupid d.o.t to but u got no hours of service,u get a flat tire and u don't fix it u don't work till u do,u truck breaks down find out what broke so the boss can buy it and u fix it.the broker did not do the ppw for ur load u have to do it or u don't run.work 23 hour days sleep 1 hour and get up and do it all over.I do agree with u that there is a lot of bs but u always have a choice find a way around it and make it work for u.they tried some of the things they did to u with me and I called my lawyer and asked for advice and then I got on the phone with safety and driver relations and talk to them and got most of the things resolved and yes I did have to put up with some bs.there is some sort of bs any where u go that's life.also its going to be very had to run 100% legal in this economy u will have to bend a rules here and there a little bc of the nature of the industries and every com cuting there rates just to get the loads.this can be for u and u can make it work u just need to find a way to make it work for u.good luck

I really don't give a frog's fat arse who agrees with who on what - just as NO ONE really cares what I think. Trouble with Corporate America and Capitolism is it screws over the little guy, and the little guys don't get together and do anything about it. Corporate America and Capitolism suck. Truckers in particular (I have learned and realized) are like sheep and follow the trend whether they know they are being used and abused for a lot of working hours and a little money, yet sit back and think that is the way it is just because everyone else does it (law or no law). They do this because they have no where else to go. I bet if enough drivers stopped driving and pretested the B.S., the B.S. would stop real fast. But that is a pipe dream that will never happen. This is because of too many who are the ones with no backbone. In reference to the post that read I don't have the backbone for trucking: If anything, I have more backbone than most people think I have.

This is the United States, not Puerto Rico, or any where else. Just as our laws do not apply to anything outside the U.S. borders, the same holds true for laws (and the screwed up ways things are done) elsewhere not applying here (or not supposed to). I have been all over the world. I know full well what it is like in a lot of other places. If I wanted to be abused that way, I'd leave the U.S.. So don't cry foul to me abut life elsewhere and try to tell me how great it is here. It's not as great as it seems anyway. Maybe to a person coming here and getting assistance people born here can't get, it seems great, but it's not. Our Government is no more for the people than the Governments of other countries.
