Life Line Screening

last week I went for a Life Line Screening.I have been before,and I think they are a good idea.They said,we detected nothing that would warrant any futher attention at the present time.
I had 5 tests done,
Using an ultrasound machine, they scan the public for peripheral vascular disease, heart disease, carotid artery disease, and aortic aneurysms.Some people think they are a waste of $$,but I don`t.My diabetes was detected at a screening years ago.

i get a yearly check up and blood work.....from my primary care doctor.

i have a specialist that i have to see every 4 months, since i have a habit of forming kidney stones, and he does a "stone panel" lab tests on me to check for the stuff that makes up the stones.

i get a yearly full eye exam, and he uses a couple of machines that give him colorized views of the inside of my eyes. then i see that eye doctor at the 6th month interval to recheck the eyes. i may have macular degeneration, going on, so he needs to monitor that for me.

i am not sure if my health benefits cover that cost of Life Line Screening....

(i just read where it is not covered, so i ain't about to spend money, for testing, none of my doctors even mention to me...)

I've had other doctors describe my personal physician as "top flight."

i think that if our primary docs see something askew in our yearly exams and blood work, they would recommend further testing, which i'd be sure from that point on, our med insurance would pay for. with the price of anything medical these days, why pay for it, when WE DO pay for it, in our insurance coverages..??

to me, that' would be like double dipping into our wallets...
