jake brake (adding one??????)

here's another brake related question, is it possible to install (add) a jake brake to an engine that didnt originally come with one from the factory and if so how expensive would it be??????? is it very difficult to have done?????? the engine in question is a 2002 cat C12!!!

yes you can add a jake to that engine. the truck allready has the wiring installed. last i checked you could get a used set up for that engine around 1200 or so. they stoped making the c12 but parts are still around.it will take about 6 hours if you have a good shop to do the install. if you do opt for the used set. make sure you have them put new o rings in them.

If the wiring is there, the compression head is there?
Take that puppy to the Garage and install the SWITCHES!

Most CATS, CUMS, DET's ( are ) wired...
