Is it okay to purchase expensive fuel... I think its totally okay pending... pending

I do fuel purchase optimization manually because I don't have Promiles. It's a little time-consuming, but I have all of the fuel chains bookmarked on my toolbar....

Ever thought about using a Garmin? One of the functions is Fuel and it points you in the direction and gives you last known price (usually today's).. then you can head for the cheapest, the furthest out and really maximize your savings.

Additional... it creates a list at the touch of a button...

Can you type your posts here with voice recognition? Do you use, or have you tried that Dragon program?

Microsofts voice recognition program works well with Word and Excel once you get used to using it. I have and it's very accurate once trained to your voice so it would probably work here as well.

That's what I'm gonna be doing and my phon is wifi capeible to there's no charge for that

There is NO charge for WiFi if you happen to be at a coffee shop or McD's etc.. that are throwing out free (unsecured) signal. Without a signal all you have is a phone.

Yup that's true there is no charge for the wifi and yes it is unsecured I personaly would not trust free wifi you never know who's doing what and boom you got a viruse then you wind up trying to burn everything off your pc if. It will let you depending on how bad the viruse is I know some places like star bucks are closing power outlets cause. People sit there for 5 hrs and hog the. Eletricity and not spend any money. I have wifi in my home but that's different its secure and when I'm out I use an air card to coNnect

Many newer android phones will create their own WiFi hotspot that you can secure upon setup, then a laptop with wireless can connect using the phones Data service or you can physically tether phone to laptop but only do this if you have a Data plan.

I use Android whenever possible but if I happen to be in an area with a very weak signal I use a Windows based OS and tether... this is always my fail safe for access but if you don't remember the speed of Dial Up? A low signal will bring back these memories very quickly.

Ah. I took the wifi card out of my laptop. The problem with wifi, is you need to be near a hotspot. I can be anywhere with my setup, so long as I have cellphone signal(it drops signal in parts of New Mexico and Wyoming).

Besides, $15/mo. for broadband speeds is CHEAP!

who do you have for cell service? i won't use wifi as it's not secure and you can get viruses!! you might look into an air card but that will run ya more than 15.00 a month and check with your accountant you might be able to claim it on your taxes

Never thought about that. I have Co-Pilot and Streets and Trips on my laptop(netbook), which has features that I think surpass the Garmins. So I never bought one.
It would be nice if there were an online website that did it for free.

I use Verizon. When tethered to my laptop, my phone acts as an aircard.

Let's just say that I've hacked my phone to be able to do what I do for the price I pay.

And my accountant writes off my entire cell bill, my wife's phone too.

I have 4 Garmin GPS's and 2 in the truck. The DEZL 560LT is my main and I use the 1650LMT to always tell me how far from home I am and how long it would take me to get there.

All have "Fuel" and calculate distance and direction from me first... then the going price. Just don't put all your eggs in the cheapest direction... I've been 4 hours late for the posted price.

I didn't either. And they're not all hackable. But many of the LGs are.

And every two years, when I renew my phone, I have to go to my sources to figure out what's changed in the cell hacking world. That way I knnow what phones to get and how to hack it.

Yeah see, I would attach a cost to time and hassle, not to mention amount of out-of-route miles to get that cheapest price. Sometimes, it's just not worth it.

But, Queen City Truck Stop, in Meridian, MS is an example of when it IS worth it. Right off the interstate, one exit away from a Pilot, and you can see the price difference. Typically credit price is $.10 cheaper than Pilot's cash price.
