Inspection for Audit

Hey all,

Regarding the annual vehicle inspection, where can I get this done that will satisfy an FMCSA safety audit? Any help is much appreciated!

Any certified shop. ie: dealer, truck repair center, maybe even a truck stop with a certified shop. The tank shop that does my trailer annuals also does the tractor.

Depends what state you're in.

Minnesota has a state patrol certified course you have to go through to issue inspection stickers.

Otherwise, pretty much any shop. You can even get the documents in truckstops to fill out yourself.

Most I have ever ran for can do that right in their own shop at the home terminal even got the stickers in drawer just fill in whatever day.

Yup gotta have my Gopher State Patrol sticker.

It expired on me once but thats only a Minnesota thingy don't mean jack diddly squats across the Statelines.

Roll in up Mn 60/Us 169 and if 94 just get up early enough they closed till 6/7 Am..

no. They use federal standards.

the issue is the stickers are serialized and issued to an inspectors certificate number for accountability and traceability.

if my truck wrecks due to faulty brakes and it’s learned that inspector pencil whipped an inspection….
