lol,i doubt they get beef at a wholesale price.
yeah, i wouldn't know that either, but some places that deal in food items, do discount things for the employee's.
i had a buddy working for the local (then) Sunbeam bakery. he would get trays of whatever bread, rolls, muffins, that were extra's produced that day, or sometimes the stores could not take them due to overstocking...and sell them for company price for cash.
i see an Entenmann's guy twice a week at the local CVS, i can buy discounted Entenmann's from him.

I've never heard of Tyson saleing meat to their employees cheap.but beef is expensive so I can see why

The larger bakeries have outlet stores, but the prices aren't really great for being that close to the expiration date. Bimbo had one down the street from me, but it went out of business. I could get cheaper stuff by waiting for the sale ads. Cakes/sweets are a want, not a need.

going to school i had to pass by it and the aroma was intoxicating..
i was given a weekly allowance back then of 25¢
damn straight, once a week, i'd stop in for a fresh 10¢ mini pie, which back then, they were as small as they are now..>!!!!!
i think the pies back then were 25¢ at the stores.
