I need a roommate

i agree with him on how high rents are and there not getting any cheaper. how much is a one bedroom there:confused-96:. it is good that he will be moving in and helping out you and your dad. personaly i would never rent again as i see it as just tossing money out the window. the only way i might rent is to see if i like an area for a year then after that i'm gone
He has to be paying at least 800.00 a month for an unfurnished apartment here. They're all very nice apartments. But other ones in a different part of town is like 450.00 furnished and utilities paid..Around here you're not going to find a cheap apartment.

well from where i am 800 a month is not bad hell most people would kill to pay 800 a month rent and they would really kill for an apt that only costs 450 a month everything included. those rents are cheap compared to out here:stare1:. out here we have rents that go upto a million a month:eek:

Apartment here for 800 would cost 1600 There.

I didn't find his apartment but similar and can't figure out how to post it.I don't blame him for wanting to move.Besides the cost he lives on the top floor.
it's ok. i don't blame him for wanting to move either i wouldn't want to be on a top floor in the summer!! and they will more than likely raise his rent once his lease is up

housings tight out here and at a premium
yeah, but you are also posting mutli bedrooms, mulit bathrooms, beach property. housing is tight i would have to say, everywhere, with out a doubt.

you either have to be rich, but why rent, or you got a great job, again, why rent..????

the average working person could never afford housing in my area, or patty's, and forget yours.

takes at the very least a 2 income family to live in even the most low to moderate areas.

true i know i was posting multi bedrooms and beach property. i was showing her how crazy things get out here!!! as most people think it's cheap to live out here until they come out here and find out that they can't afford it. as that's the biggest thing now is the minimum wage increase everyones running out here!!! i would never rent again period to me it's a waste of money though it has it's advantages. most people out are well off or rich and or most of em have roomates and or they shack up 10 to a unit and eat rice. or there in a tent in the middle of a street or on a sidewalk. i know in my area there still building and the homes are going for 3 million and up

even "simple" apartments in San Fran are highly priced, as well as for sale homes. there is a (i thought) really nice neighborhood there, can't remember the name, (something---Heights..??) it was in a movie, Micheal Keaton, where he is a deranged man
