I Hate Progressive insurance

We can have a confrence call with a nuetral party listening.

I can find as many or more agents/brokers who will say they don't have any issues as you can find phony-baloney ringers who say they do. :D
Like I said, I still have brokers calling me weekly and I still talk to several guys who have OOSI insurance.
It doesn't come up up in conversation on a regular basis buy if much had changed it would have.
Brokers for the most part couldn't care less who your insurance is through as long as their ass is covered and cargo claims get paid when they come up.

Now if you want to continue what you know nothing of put the money where the keyboard is.

You're the one who is making B/S statements based on ZERO first hand knowledge.

I think it'd be more fun to just keep needling you about it so I'm just gonna send a few emails and then forevermore claim that you owe me $200. :)
:D

Had one shipper wouldn't let me note the BOL so I signed the BOL " METAL has Damage" as my name.
That kind of thing p***es me off & I take great pleasure in boldly disobeying them. I've never noted damage but lots of places will preload & seal a trailer, or simply live-load it while the driver is in the truck, and then expect the driver to sign for a case count, or won't allow a driver to write "SLC" or "Shipper load & count" on the BOL. I always ... ALWAYS sign them "shipper load & count" and I don't even write "SLC" I actually write out the words. Even if I did count it, the shipper obviously counted it too, right?

It's rare they've given me problems but a few times I've had them rip up the BOL and print another one, then rip that one up & call out a supervisor to come bully me, who has always ended up just telling the clerk to give up & let me sign it "shipper load & count". I had one degenerate "politically required hire" threaten to call my carrier. I said "go ahead, just make sure you give them my truck number so they know who's got their back, .. I don't pay for cargo claims, they do".

When you want to note damages on a BOL and they tell you not to, DO IT ANYWAY. Right in front of them. Worst case scenario they'll pull it off your truck & you'll have wasted some deadhead miles & a few hours of your time, but that's extremely unlikely. I've never had a shipper unload my trailer after I've been steadfast about the "shipper load & count" thing.

LOL. When asked to count. I say " How much you say you got there?" They tell me and I say "ya that looks about right" Like I am freakin' rain man! I am not counting this crap. You said you shipped X amount and if the receiver says they only got X amount? Its got nothing to do with me. Sign for O,S&D and Ya'll take it up with each other. 3,000 pieces shipped, How many fingers an toes do they think i have. LOL.

The reason I don't count palleted freight is because it's possible to short a layer of a case & still have it support the layer above it, or to stack a pallet so high you can't see the top to make sure the top layer has as many cases as they say it has. I never sign for a case count, ... EVER, ... except at "UPS Supply chain solutions" in Carol Stream, IL. That's because those loads want me to sign for a CRATE count, and the most I've ever seen was 19 small crates. No problem, I can count to 19 in a few seconds.

Sure I will do a skid count. That is about all. If the shipper has no confidence in their employee Bubba to count skids. LOl

I like it when they check the box "driver load and count." I write"xx pallets" and sign my name. Then, when I send in my loaded call, I check "driver load" on the form. Dummies can pay me the driver loading fee. They're the ones who checked it.
LMAO! NICE!

Driver tip # 120,34 When asked to count freight, Fall to the ground like you have an ice cream brain freeze. When you come around. Ask if they are insured?

I have never tried it but, If anyone does try it let us know how you made out. lol

This some of the damage I noted on yesterdays coil shipper didn't have a problem. They signed for it this AM no problem.
I had a shipper once ask for my companies phone number? I said is there on the door. He siad that's your number and realized he lost that arguement.

Caution: posting a picture of a coil chained to a flatbed on this forum is not advised.

We always end up with 30 pages of know-it-alls saying you're not doing it right. :grandpa::rant:

Thats around a 25 to 30K coil.
5/16 chains are rated 4700lbs
3/8 5700
Other then that one chain having a twist in it, its a good tie down.
