Hunting/Fishing photos and stories

Yes, those really are 30-50 foot trees in the water.

The tops are 8-12' below the surface and hold many a rapala and fishin' lure. One can seriously fill out a tackle box snorkeling or diving on these mines

I have a Helix 7? in the boat, and, I think it's a Helix 9? that will be going in the boat. Have the Helix 9, because the buddy that I got my trolling motor through didn't realize that I had a Helix, and needed one for something or other with my trolling motor.

That side imaging thing has never really made sense to me. I need to spend some time with it to actually be able to understand what I'm seeing... I keep thinking that must be the view @MJ1657 has after he's had too many drinks. Or, maybe I need to start having them same drinks to understand it. Not sure if I need to stand on my head, or lay on my side or....

I get laser focused when I drink. Why do you think I do it!

I guess at least I can post a picture of my toy... I used to hunt quite a bit, haven't done it for years. Now, my fun is shooting holes in paper.

I'm kind of wishing I had gotten a different gun, but this is the one I got, and it'll do! I'm after as much precision as I can get, regardless of how long it takes to get off the shot. It's rare that I can't put 10 shots through the same hole (hole measures slightly larger when I'm done) at 100 yards. My best yet, is 4 shots in the same hole at 300 yards. My bullet diameter is .264", and my hole was .325". Later, I'll get around to putting up some pictures what I do to try to get better...

Here's my gun. Savage Model 10 BA Stealth, 6.5mm Creedmoor. Nightforce 5-25 x 56 Scope. These pictures still have the bi-pod that I picked up when I picked it up, and the original stock or butt plate. Different ones on it now.

@AllabouttheBS has been waiting for some results from that gun

This kind of thing is really easy with stationary cameras. They simply brought their daughter and had the camera take pictures of her from the exact same position on the tree as some animals were photographed. Putting her into the animal pictures is extremely easy at that point because the backgrounds were identical. You don't even have to cut her out all that precisely. You basically overlap a kid pic with an animal pic and erase the part of the animal pic that's covering up the kid.
