The deer are going after the milo hard.

Hit the jackpot this morning! There are 6 geese there. Four were shot this morning ( that's the daily limit). Two I found dead next to the river, not killed by me.

Hitting the same field tomorrow. I was limited out before the bulk of the geese started flying. I had flocks of 30+ cupping and trying to land with me standing in the decoys picking them up!

Nothing more fun then that. We had that a few times this year.

Couple years ago we were hunting geese over water. We shot one and I waded out to get it. I get the goose and we had a loner that wanted to land. I ducked down and turned around and told my partners to shoot it. They killed it. I think I have a pic from that hunt somewhere. We broke ice to make a hole. I'll look.

Most fun I've ever had is breaking ice to hunt ducks and geese. Its an absolute bitch when the ice is thick but if you make a hole they will land. When I got off the road our plan was to buy an ice eater. I'd be around to tend to it. The feds put a stop to it when they banned them in MN saying they delay the migration.

The deer have this Milo field about wiped out. I was hoping it was going to make it through the winter. I put a camera on it and had 1200 pics on it in a week.
