He looks like the one that’s been on the ranch around 8:30 nightly. I’ve never seen anything much larger here.

Possibly or he was shot. Id lean towards hit by car.

Going to try a licking branch. Bucks will come to it and lick the branches. They will normally start a scrape at the base.

Its fun to watch deer rest/sleep. I've had them bed down in front of my deer stands. They chew their cud and close their eyes for a bit. Any little movement noise makes them look around. They usually spend no more then an hour in a spot.

Remember a couple weeks ago we were talking about all the Deer at my Mom's old place?

There were times that I came down the Driveway and then backed into the Turnaround Area (the X) and all Ya saw was the Yellow Eyes of many Deer laying down in the Circle

I think I found a way to get to this thread a little easier. No new bucks in the area but those that are here are being sighted regularly. My licking branch is working well. Im guessing they will start scraping under them soon.
