the boss is having his harmonic balancer changed today
he reccomends every truck get it done every million miles or so
is that nessacery?

What kind of puller do you need for this? Bar style or 3 jaw?

I took mine to Detroit in Fargo ND and had them do it during a regular service.

Took my daughter out for lunch while they worked on the truck.

You can pull most balancers with two guys with pry bars or a bar style puller.

I’ll have to see if my bar style puller is long enough then

On your binder, you’ll have to pull the radiator, or use the 2 guys 2 bars method I mentioned earlier.

I replaced mine yesterday,
all the local guys was busy until late Oct
I had to take my fan off and that was the hard part.The balancer came off fairly easy with a pry bar and I slowly got it off,very carefully
I tried to clean my radiator and fan blades while I had it apart.Put it back together was not too complicated.The balancer came off easier than it went back on.I used the bolts to get it on,a little at a time.
I went out this morning to deliver a empty trailer 45 miles away and it was a lot smoother.Monday tales the tale....under a full load....but so far,not too bad.Glad I did it

5 hours labor in it and 585 in the part
