We sent care packages to my nephew when he was in Afghanistan.
He told us that ANY SORT OF FOOD would be most appreciated...

The feds n county gave us MRE's in Biloxi/Gulfport during Katrina relief.

I thought it would be funny as hell to send him a coupla MRE's.

But somehow I didn't think he'd see the humor in it.


He later told me that my instincts were correct...
while he was laughing his ass off.

When my son came back from Afghanistan him and his 3 buddies just wanted to live at Dunkin Donuts and drink coffee. When he was younger and I use to bring home a new bag of coffee him and his brother use to grab it and run. They would open it and smell all the new coffee smell before I could. Use to piss me off.
