Hi, I'm a new agent and i would like to do things right and fair. I'm female and there are not many of us who do well in this industry. So I have my work cut out for me. What I would like to do is develop a database of truckers and the lanes they run. This will allow me to send loads directly to you. It may start slow but it will pick up in time. I have read a lot about the unfairness in industry thing can't change less we are committed to change them.

My first piece of advice is don't try to hit homeruns off of drivers or shippers. Learn and understand what a fair market rate should be, fuel surcharge, proper accessorials. Charge the shippers and pay the carriers accordingly.

I would say have consistent rates for all lanes, but the industry refuses to work like that. It would be so much more simple if rates everywhere fell within a similar range based on distance, rather than location.

Learning drivers running lanes and providing the service you mention could be a really good angle. Sounds like a ton of work as well until you get things set up and running smoothly.

Best of luck!
