Blood on the saddle.

When I was in the drug induced stupor the night after surgery I kept trying to flick off the red LED they had on my finger for the O2 monitor.
I thought I forgot to put a cigarette out!!
:biggrin-2:
After I tried to throw it down a few times with no success...
I tried to smoke it!!
:coocoo:

:idiot:

:stare2:

:biglaugh:

In the hospital after my appendix surgery (it had burst) they were giving me dilaudid. The first night or so I kept telling Sandy to get the door someone was knocking. :biggrin-2:
Man, I was so fecking hard headed before Sandy finally convinced me to go to the hospital that I was doing laps around the yard at 2am swearing it was gas. Sandy was like "you don't run a fever with gas you dumbass!" I kept saying no I think it's possible. :biggrin-2:
I still can't figure out wtf is wrong with her.

Let face it the medical field.....They got the stuff that send a person out in orbit. knowing how medical people think they probably found you quite amusing. I been around some that were right down kinky.

Damn.
This surgery has me on the ropes!
According to the fake news interweb forums a guy with a desk job might be able to return to work in as little as 3 weeks (which is where I am).
With a physical job, maybe 6 weeks.
The pain is like nothing I've ever known.
The right side of my gut is cramping with such a vengeance that it makes me yell out loud at times.

I went to the ER on Wednesday.
The nurse said I was lucky to draw the ER doc on duty because he used to run the whole emergency dept, then retired and now works on a contract basis.
He at least took the time to read my history after an exam.
He gave me a shot that felt like I had an icepick in my glute for a couple of days...
said I should have gotten it before I left the hospital.
Tri-something or other.
He told me not to take anymore narcotics because they would hinder the healing of my gut.
Then when I checked out they gave me a fresh script for oxy from my surgeon.
I don't even know how he knew I was there since he never returned 3 or 4 calls from earlier in the week.

I laid off the pain meds Tuesday night because I figured I'd be going in one way or another from the pain and didn't want drugs to skew an evaluation.

I didn't take any of the oxy until Thursday about noon when the pain and cramping was intolerable.
It helped...
A LOT!!
but the second dose Thursday night didn't do any good at all.

Tonight, bourbon and Ibuprofen is the only thing keeping me upright in this chair.
Ironic, huh?
Because bourbon is what makes it hard to stay upright in the chair sometimes!!
:biggrin-2:

Honestly, if the oxy didn't have acet... amet... Tylenol in it, I'd probably take a handful just to get some relief.
Tylenol scares the crap out of me because a friends daughter who was prone to seizures and short term memory loss OD'd on it once (years ago) and the doctors told him to either sign off on a kidney transplant or a waiver to donate her organs, because she would never recover...
She got a miracle.

I don't even know what's going on.
The surgeon initially told me (more or less) that they got everything and that he didn't anticipate any long-term effects.
Then pulmonary scheduled an appointment and told me that they needed to monitor some nodules on my lungs.
:stare2:
When I went for that appointment they told me that the cancer would probably be very slow growing but may require intervention depending on results from oncology.
:O_o:
Oncology?
Yeah, you have an appointment in two weeks.

Well thanks for sharing...
FUTHERMUCKERS!!

I suppose I ought to retract my previous statements about staying the hell away from doctors and hospitals...
and them being a good place to get on the wrong side of healthy...
on the other hand though,
I felt fine when I showed up for the 'routine' colonoscopy.

We'll see...

@DrDaliah
you poor thing! They might have given you "toradol", not sure. Let us know the stage when they tell you. Sending prayers!! xoxo

As if whatever he's got stands a chance against @Blood levels of orneriness.

You should read some of the things he's said about me......

Buck up Prink.........you got this.

Well...
I noticed that you said 'thing's rather than 'lies'!!

I'll mark you down as pleading guilty to every remark I've posted about you!
😁

Well,
obviously,
in my mind I'm center-stage!
:biggrin-2:
But as the guy who taught me to drive used to say...
In a hundred years...
nobody is going to GAF!!
:frown:

They did a bronchoscopy this morning,
but they didn't take a biopsy.
The docs said they were only concerned about my airways for the time being and not concerned about tissue (where the nodes are).
I dunno if that's good or bad.
They said they'd do a scan in a couple of months.
They told my wife that there weren't any issues regarding my airways.

Strange thing...
I like Tom petty & Jeff Lynne well enough...
but I was never a yuge fan of either, though I'm a bit of a Willbury's fan.
Last night I dreamed Tom Petty told me that Lynne was dead.
I didn't even remember that dream until the second dose of Fentanyl.
After that I was trying to tell the doctor that Dylan was the last one...
but I couldn't talk because of the O2 gag...
so I started humming 'End of the line'.
:biggrin-2:

Weird shit, huh?
:coocoo:

Before the first dose they asked if I could state my full name.
I did.
Then they asked if I could give my full SSN.
I did.
Then they asked whether I understood that I was under going a bronchoscopy to look inside my lungs...
I said,
"WAIT! WHAT!??
I'M SUPPOSE TO BE GETTING A DAMNED EYE EXAM!!"
:scared:

Then they all laughed...
and gave me a shot!!
:stare2:
