Ya back in the day Video Rental Places would levy "Fine" for not "Rewinding" think it was afew dollars per tape.

You could also buy a Tape Rewinder for $15/$20 idea was to save "wear & tear" on your VCR now bear in mind a good 4-Head VCR used to cost $3/4 hundred bucks
