Oh yeah sure. All I ever hear from experienced drivers on this forum and others is how much we all admire Swift.

I’m sure all the Swift trucks I’ve seen in the ditch and overturned over the years were the fault of someone else.

Swift has over 14,000 trucks on the road, so yeah, you'll see more mishaps than smaller companies.
I don't care what others opinions are, I don't follow the crowd and can make up my own mind.

I'm a fan of several reefer companies. Reefer drivers at Swift Refrigerated make decent paychecks right out of cdl training. Over .40 cpm right out of school, plus accessorial pays.

Reefer sits a lot. How is 40cpm good even out of school?

.40 cpm is good when you include accessorial pays. Sure I sat sometimes, but at $14.00 hr., after the first hour, it was fine with me. Some companies pay $18.00 hr. to sit.
For me $25 for the stop, then $14 hr. until departing is fine with me. Some drivers say, "You're getting ripped off, I'd never work for that." Well, that's a matter of opinion, the pay is fine for me.

What I don't like about reefer is the meat packing plants never have a trailer loaded on time, and even before covid, quite often you'd be wide awake and fresh off a ten hour break and you sit for another ten hours, unable to sleep any longer, but since when it's finally loaded, you still have legal drive time to make your delivery appointment, you have to leave immediately and run a full shift even though you were awake all day waiting for it.

You can make more than that working in a warehouse.

One thing I told USX and Schneider both was they'll never get me to do anything that puts my earnings lower than I was at the warehouse I got a CDL to leave.

And I didn't mean for the year. I meant for that hour or that load.

Some of these Mega recruits were practically homeless or close to it. So if you came from extreme poverty then yeah I can see how you’d be happy with $14. Megas like Swift take advantage of desperate people.

But you’re dreaming if you think Swift is respected within the industry. Whenever there is a long line of Trucks waiting to get into or out of a truck stop because one guy can’t back and he just has to try over and over until someone takes pity on them and gets out and helps. I means it’s almost always a Swift Driver.

Some of us get real agitated if we're stuck in our zip code for a long time, such as 2 or 3 weeks.
We save our money and spend long vacations in Thailand, Philippines, Panama, Hong Kong, etc.

My neighbor has a Filipino wife. I should ask him if he used to pull reefers for Swift.

I've never been to a meat packing plant. That's one question I always ask when changing jobs.
"Irregular route" reefer outfits usually don't do meat packing plants.

Don't focus on the negative; child sex hasn't crossed my mind, but it has yours.
When I vacation, my wife and children go with me. We own some homes over there, furnished with our own personal belongings, so only need carry-on luggage.
