Another big storm

I like their floor jacks, generator, shop crane, and furniture dolly (the one with the knobby pneumatic tires). I have their engine stand but never used it so can't speak for it. Jack stands aren't bad either.

Some stuff is a helluva bargain but most of it is garbage. Like, their electrical tape is like an HOA president - it won't stick to itself.

When I open weatherbug it gives me current conditions that are almost never accurate.
Best weather predictor; look at the local radar then pan out to the regional radar.

Play the loop to see where it's been for the last 6 hours and predict where it's going.

Hah. I've got some things that have lasted me for years. Others that feel like they'll last years.

But most of it, not so much. Couple weeks if you're lucky. I go through their orange ratchet straps as if they're a one time use deal. 😂
i do as well. i have a bench grinder with a wire wheel, must be about 4 years now. i hardly use it so to have paid big money for a name brand, was out of the question.

i have 3 platform trucks, we use to store and move around the window A/C's.

and a few other items i have in my tool box.

overall, not really bad for the home owner to have.

I forgot I have their lowest end mig welder too. I wish I got an adjustable one but it was good enough. It paid for itself doing the Navigator rocker and rear coil spring seats.

Stuff from Harbor Freight is meant for the do it yourselfer, not professional mechanic who’s using it day in and day out. I’d buy a hammer from harbor freight. And some other hand tools. Zip ties are cheapest at harbor freight and I buy those there. But like impact sockets pneumatic tools and stuff like that I bought all mine from Matco and snap on because I used them every day neeeded them to last and liked to convenience of getting them replaced at the shop.

tarping of 2 cars done.

mine is in the background

we just needed the drivers door and door handle covered on the gray car

car # 3 later tonight.

yeah, i still have some S&K tools, and then i have some Kobalt, Husky, and some Craftsman.

all my really good tools like Snap On, MAC, Proto, Bonney and KD, are gone..

Is that really worth it? Instead of 5 minutes with a broom after the storm. Just asking.
we will be getting ice here...snow, freezing rain, then some rain, then more freezing rain/ and a flash freeze.

so uh yeah......we wanna get into our cars on monday

otherwise, for snow, no we do not tarp the cars.

and i like being as prepared as possible, i now have a total of 8, 40 pound bags of "safe salt, and 5, 40 pound bags of "speedi-dri, or zip zorb' for the concrete stairs and walkways....

i also bought another new snow shovel meaning we now have 6 (for all 3 of us), and my gas/oil mix for the machines at the ready..

i never run out of supplies, nor do i ever run out the day of a storm or after a storm to get any snow/ice supplies..

i even have 4 spray bottles of rubbing alcohol/water mix to de-ice the windows....

we's ready.....are you..????

Just dump a bucket of boiling water on your car.

My dad said he did it once back in the stone age and it didn't shatter the glass.
