Good Luck but the feds don't control the Oil prices, therefore striking the State Capitols won't get anything accomplished.
I'm not a naysayer, I'm just looking at it from a Logical standpoint.

The Refineries (producers) are the ones to oppose because they create or refine the Fuel from the Oil. THEIR prices are what the Fuel centers pay then tack onto before selling to the Consumers, US.
Attacking the feds doesn't matter since the feds merely TAX the refineries and the Fuel centers.

In order to initiate a full on strike against Fuel prices, there need to be STRIKES AGAINST THOSE RESPONSIBLE for the High Fuel prices, NOT the feds.
WHY do you think the strikes of before haven't accomplished anything?
WHY do you suppose there have been VERY FEW Representatives present or available during these strikes?
Do you think maybe because the Reps KNEW there wasn't a point to the strikes?
Do you suppose they knew the Citizenry were just wasting their time so WHY bother becoming a part of it?
You ALL have a good idea but you're not going to deliver the message to the correct group by taking the wrong road.

The only thing the feds are responsible for doing is the continuation of the fiasco and slaughter of our Military Men and Women in Iraq.

I do not support ANY strike against the feds for the wanton changing of Oil prices, Fuel prices, because it is A WASTE OF TIME.

Drilling for more Oil will NOT help US anytime soon because even if drilling were to be started today, the results would not be seen for a few years. Time is required to fully assess the impact on the Environment along with setting the area up, construction of the equipment because WE cannot use old materials, delivering the equipment, setting the equipment up for use, initial drilling procedures, and finally receiving the material at some Refinery unless the installation of a new Refinery is implemented, therefore add more time to the equation.

In summary: Striking the feds is a waste of time and effort and will only realize the same effect as of striking the feds about stopping the continuing fiasco and slaughter of OUR MILITARY in Iraq.

yea, Someone told me befor when this all started that it could take up to 10 year's, when we start to drill.
When we use to drill befor the old pipe's are still there, they r capped, but will need replaced.And alot of the inland well's went dry.
But the Fed. Gov. are responsible for all the tax's, which that in it's self will drop the price some. I don't belive know matter what, the price at he pumps will ever drop below, once they level out to between $4 to $4.30. Which is why I have tried to push the other issue's in trucking.
Most of us have lived through the odd and even day's, and can now say the good ol' day's.

I'm not that young that I don't as well recall the ODD/EVEN days.
I was working at a gas station in southern Caliscrewy in the latter 70s. I was 20 in '78. Now you know MY age.
I was working the Graveyard shift (drinking Liquor and eating Speed) which for me then was what it was.
I used to allow ANYONE to but fuel regardless of what day it was because like now, I didn't see a point to the odd/even crap.
I did such for my own reasons in that time of my Life and had LOTS OF FUN!!

Those truly are The Good 'Ol Days!!

--You're correct that Fuel prices shall not recede to below $4.00 a Gln for Gas. These are what some have surmised as the End Times as described in the bible, yet I'm not a bible thumper, just an observer.--

I just read the latest statement and I like it. I'd like to insist on Congress stay in Emergency session until they do their job. Short of that, I say we make their return home as inhospitable as possible.

I couldn't agree more, this is not my first battle that i fought and won when people tried to tell me there was nothing i could do about it. I just don't except that thought. Call me stubborn....

Rebel...in the "Slow-Down WednesdayS" statement - the number 1 demand is for our Elected Representatives to remain in session until they get their job done. This has been inclusive for the last couple of statements. Also, it just amazes me how some people can take such a stand like blakowt13 without fully researching our government's involvement with what's going on. It is our government preventing the expedited construction of new refineries; it is our government blocking America from using it's own energy resources to achieve energy independence; it is our government forcing their will upon the American people. Our government does have the ability to effect lowering energy prices for American citizens, and it is our government we need to stand up as one nation and speak out against.

On the issue of "Americans Protest Around The Country," I have heard from 3 of y'all and have completed a rough final draft. I still need to get input regarding a contact email to place at the bottom of the statement for people to respond with questions and comments. It will only takes minutes to create an email, and I will be willing to field any emails with the assistance of y'all if they become overwhelming. Once I at least get this input from TTW, Luna and Rebel...I'll email the final rough draft for a thumbs up - then I'll get the new thread posted.

We are not just going to put it on your back and help out when its too much. We all agreed to start this and we will all take on the work. We are just about to get to the good stuff. I was thinking along the lines of an email with the address of "AmericansProtestAroundTheCountry@..." An email to encompass this action...not necessarily a personal email. And the help I'm referring to would involve the responding to emails. If the response becomes huge...we could set up a schedule which I could just forward any emails to the particular person for that day to spend the time responding.

I truely know y'all wouldn't drop a heavy load on me...that y'all are more than willing to step up and help. And the need for a central communication point for Americans will be critical to the success of this action. Questions and comments from Americans about this action may be small at first, until the word gets out...but there will most likely be an increase as the date gets closer.

The OOU is NOT Calling for a strike, shutdown or anything along those lines at this time.
It was sent to me by several people that I had called for another shutdown, WRONG, we are working hand in hand with several gov officials at this time and a strike would do us more harm than good.
If you see any such post on any website please send the links to me so we can get them removed ASAP.

Whew, what a relief!
As fuel prices cause bankruptcy across all transportation industries, I'm glad to know it was just a "mental" shutdown. We wouldn't want to disrupt this growing economy.
