AC problem, please help!

Hey there, I have a 97 classic, and I have ac problems, well here goes the story, The front AC worked great for a bit, then while driving it would just stop blowing cold, well I replaced the breaker, and found that the BUNK AIR fan switch was burned out pretty bad, so i disconnected that and blew out all the dust in the blower under the dash, well now when i run it it blows really cold, I haven't drove it very far so i am not for sure if it will fail again! But the bunk AC doesn't blow cold! And there is a hissing sound that I hear from the vent and under the bed! Can someone help? Or should I just take it to freightliner?

Check inside your sideboxes, you should have lines running under the bed in there. If you blew out blower with compressed air you might have blown loose duct running to bed air - maybe loose duct is hissing sound as air doesn't get back to bed.

I also have a 97 classic mine done same thing it was the expansion valve on the bunk unit. The hissing could be loose duct. If your front unit quits blowing cold it maybe the pressure switch its on the drier. On the fire wall under hood.

Had a similar problem on my Pete, First blow out all duct work. second make sure your vent control motors are working and properly opening and closing the vent doors. If the front is working well, you might have a door stuck in the heat position on the rear like I had. This will make a hissing sound and run warm to hot air all the time in the bunk
