They're just peat moss. You have to add plant food.i have used those planting pods once before.
POS, waste of money
if you have had good luck with them, congrats to you.
i have been not too involved anymore with growing from seeds anymore, buying the plants from the greenhouse is faster/cheaper overall for me.
yes, i bought a kit at Lowe's one year, all compact, until you add water, then they expand. They're just peat moss. You have to add plant food.
Go to the west side of Oregon. People will pay you to take them. If you want big, sweet berries you can eat right off the bush, get Himalayas. If you want jam and pie berries with lots of flavor, but not so much sugar, get NorthWestern. Himalayas have a broad, solid leaf, looks kind of like an Elm leaf. NorthWestern have a dark green, deeply cut leaf, looks more like a green Japanese Maple leaf.I have 6 nice blueberry bushes .Every year they are loaded.
Now I am looking to plant some blackberrys.Anyone here have any suggestions?
The kit I got at Lowes didn't have plant food with it. You have to get that separate.yes, i bought a kit at Lowe's one year, all compact, until you add water, then they expand.
i had it all, grow lamps, heated pad, tempered area.....waste of my time still, all stuff gone now.
It's just easier to buy the plants, though. Especially in northern areas with short growing seasons.
