I am trying to find where the harness is for the load lamp switch. I don't have load lamps but would like to use it for driving lights.

On a truck that new they probably didn’t run it. Manufacturers in more recent years have cut having a generic layout and now build harnesses per the spec sheet. It’s also likely a smart switch type system so you plug a switch in and it runs through a body controller. Are you opposed to running hard wire yourself?

I removed the dash panel where the switch is and found a harness plugged into it. That led me to believe they may lead to something I could use. I don't have a problem running wires myself I just thought it would be easier to use one that was already in place.

Well the new stuff that runs through a body controller, you can pin wiring into the appropriate spots in the body module and then the dealership can program it to function. But that info is scarcely available except from the dealer. Sorry I was a Freightliner tech and don’t have any friends that work in a paccar shop so I can’t be much more help than that. Sorry.

If you have wiring for work lamps you can always string wire from those power wires to your road lamps and they would work as long as the power draw isn’t too high for the FET.
