I am not sure how they are working it down there but, up here Justin Trudope handed out a shit ton of money to any one that applied for it, It didn't matter if you qualified, he was like Oprah, you get a check and you get a check and everyone gets a check.
It got him re-elected. ( in a minority government that he thought would surely be a majority)
Now the chickens have come home to roost and all of these people are discovering via CRA ( Canadian IRS) that they owe the money back if they were not entitled to said benefit check.
