alternator

I started looking over everything on this truck and discovered an unhooked cable laying up against some hoses between the alternator and the frame. It has a label that reads: "25111035, Rev. 11, KALAS MFG." Any idea what is for and/or where it is supposed to be connected?

I seen this coming a few days ago. Noticed that when I had my inverter on, the charging voltage was low (13.1 volts). Not sure exactly why I noticed this, just happened to glance at it. Kept an eye on it, noticed it would read higher at times, and as low as 13.0 volts. Did a bit of checking...
