Sorry, no access to OUR lovely bathroom.

We haven't really had a problem with the bathroom situation other the select few that lock us out completely. Haven't had to leave anyone a nice hot dookie yet but they get gallons of ****.
One place I go to got outhouses outside

I showed my ass about this once, but only because I was still by the house picking up an outbound load fro the week.

I needed to use the bathroom, they told me that they didn't have restrooms for drivers.

marked out my name on the sign in sheet, told the guy to have a nice day.

Magically, he unlocked the door to my right, which was always unlocked pre Covid, and to the restoom I went.

We had a driver that I can only assume was from Brampton leave a dookie in the parking lot of one of the buildings.
I am not a big fan of those that work in that building as I assume he was not either. :D
Every day one of the guys would park their car directly over the dookie like he didn't know it was there.
I can only imagine the smell of said dookie in the summer would work its way into the vehicle.

That'll be fun when somebody has a number two kinda situation and it's -20 or -30 in a few months.

This bullshit song and dance needs to stop.
Im with ya... but if it comes down to pick yer poison Id rather do it in an outhouse than the parkin lot or on the side of the road

There was a guy today that took a **** by his tandems before removing the wheel chock.

I just pointed at him and faked laughing as I drove away before the end of my shift.
I hope he feels insecure now and needs therapy. :rolllaugh2:

Honestly, I'm fine with the portable toilets, as long as they are cleaned regularly. Something is better than nothing.
That reminds me. There's a nasty old broken down neglected portable at this one customer I was using out of timing and desperation for MONTHS. I was headed towards it one day and the trailer inspector says "hey where ya going?" I pointed. He goes "there's a real bathroom in the portable office." I said "where?" He goes "the door is right behind you when you're getting your bills."

😐

The most amazing part of this story is that a security guard actually helped improve a situation.

He wasn't a security guard. Just a guy hired to check the trailers for holes and such.

But yeah it's amazing how we tolerate pretty poor conditions to do our business because something is better than nothing. Then we get to a real bathroom missing tile and barely any soap and a seat damn near falling off but it's GLORIOUS compared to some of the alternatives we get used to.

That's what I get for getting my hopes up about security guards.

The number of shippers and receivers that won't allow drivers to use the bathroom because of COVID is at this point becoming a bit of an issue.

I dont know how they make a logical connection between the bathroom and a driver and COVID, but it irritates me to be treated like some infected zombie.

I just noticed this 2nd pickup sats 2pm on it. I've already been here a half hour. I was told my order of 4 pallets is ready, but theres no paperwork.

Ignoring the signs, I asked to use the bathroom anyway, and was told no.

Oh I dont know, I think maybe I'll give them an hour, then I'm making a phone call.

I guess they'd rather you take a dump in the parking lot?
What does this have to do with Covid..

When I started this career path 15/20 years ago most Shippers/Receivers didn't let ya use the bathroom..

I suppose the few that did maybe don't now because of Covid19..

Nonetheless this ain't nothing new..

That's why God made widemouth plastic bottles...

And if ya gonna crap on the side of your truck make sure ya really squat wide angle so it don't get on your pants or your legs..

Save those fast food joints napkins so ya got something to wipe with or paper towel works too in a pinch

Our own terminal has afew porta-johns now..

They used to allow us in the break room of the shop but after afew drivers and a couple of mechanics tested positive they don't want us "drivers" in there anymore..

We are to call on the phone for repairs and any paperwork goes in the night slot.

As for the big office bldg no drivers allowed period "unless" they wanna chew your ass out then they'll have ya come up just wear a mask

You know because us DRIVERS caused their mini-outbreak

At VW they still let drivers in the bathroom but they've got yellow caution tape up and drivers hafta stay inside yellow lines painted on the floor.

Those lines on the floor were painted years ago though, because one of the mechanics is a total asshole who hates drivers, and some of the drivers antagonize him on purpose because he's an ass.
