I didn’t pay for the truck or choose the fire extinguishers mounting location. There’s nothing wrong with where it is. If the trucks on fire I’m not going to be in it anyway. Lol

I can’t think of one scenario where the truck is on fire and I’m gonna be scrambling to grab the fire extinguisher. Maybe on a trailer fire, but I’d be trying to drop the trailer before worrying about putting out the fire

It was pretty common up until about 20 years ago. Now that cell phones are more common, when Swift drivers lock the keys in the truck, they can call a locksmith to come get them out.

That is not the point. The point is, You need to have a fully charged working fire extinguisher and it is part of a pre-trip inspection.

I check it every couple months and it’s always read ok

I’m more worried about tires brakes lights and air leaks, since I’ve never had anyone look at my fire extinguisher or triangles
