I ran a charter bus all summer and that was pretty intereating.Met a lot of people and saw a lot of places I might not have known about otherwise while getting paid to do it. It definitely beats long haul trucking.

All of October I'mgoing down to PEI to haul the potato harvest. That should be enough to get the old EI claim fired back up for the winter. Such a newfie thing to do.

Back in the 80's and 90's you could get EI even if you quit your job. So the Newfies would come to Ontario and work the amount of days they needed to qualify for EI and then head back to the rock.

You wouldn't get me out to Ontario. I spent 15 years there and that was 15 too many. I would sooner take a camp job on the island or Labrador or something else like what I'm doimg.

We've finally got ourselves into a position where we don't need near as much money as we once did. Winging it like this really keeps me free to do whatever I want summer and winter.
