Why are the tits longer on a dry van in the receptacle?

Well of course, you own the equipment.
doesn't matter.

he's sitting there dickin' around with it when the time would have been better spent getting the boss to pay for the shit to get fixed correctly in the first place.

I have one golden rule with anyone.

"don't fuck with my CSA score."

pretty damn simple and easy to follow.

The increased cost in insurance, down time for being a target for increased enforcement action etc does NOT justify the fucking around.

Then be professional about your equipment and how you present yourself.

My $14,000 brand new (2017 MY) enclosed car hauler had a plug that was incompatible with my 2015 F-150. Trailer manufacturer used ends that were too short and had a good 1/4" of pullout before they'd hit the retainer lip. You'd lose lights and brakes just rolling down the road all normal.

Duct tape and zip ties and we rolling

Dry vans are ****ed
This the second or third van it’s been like this. It’s only vans that cause issues. Flat step rgn double drop NO issues. Hook to a van and she’s a no go.

****ing vans
My guess is there's compacted road grime or whatever in your pigtail end. You go into dusty and muddy areas with an open deck more than most of us with boxes. Time for a new pigtail end. $7 for a good one at the KW in Spokane. No idea what they're charging for them in Hozerland.

Tits? That's what we call the electric line? Well that's real classy.
That's what i've always called the little nubbies inside the receptacle. 😳

I use a bungee for loose connections at the trailer. Hook one end on a brake line bracket, wrap it snugly around the pigtail end and the receptacle cover and hook the other end to the other brake line bracket.

Yup ordered new light cord ends and gonna change out the receptacle where it hooks to the headache rack. Gonna add another clamp on the lines for the spring, these fucking vans have a deeper kingpin than steps n flats. Gotta keep the lines off the catwalk

Called Phillips tech support they not much help, they was flabbergasted I was having issues with fucking vans

Just gotta get in my shop I’ll put up with it until then. I don’t mess with stuff when it’s this cold. Learned that the hard way too many times wait until you’re home and in a warm shop

Stopped in at Traction and got new ends. He said he’d give me a couple universal ones that will work in dry vans AND flatbeds. Sure enough they fit in the van receptacle just fine. Switch it out soon I guess

Who knew they made flatbed only cord ends? :coocoo:
