Which Wiper Blade is best?

Pull your windshield visors down to a 45* angle and run your defroster on hot/high.
Why cant I like this more than once?
Exactly right! I just heard about this a few years back. Those that run in heavy snow, Know that the wipers have a hard time keeping up. The heater set on defrost has a hard time assisting the wiper blades via the heat on the windshield alone.

Some of us know about having to clear the trucks grill when the snow gets packed on and the engine temp climbs due to the restriction in airflow

I thought I invented that sun visor thing.

What it does is help keep some of the warm air behind the windshield instead of blowing out over your head.

What helps more is to leave the windows up. There have been times when every time I need to crack open a window to smoke a cigarette, my wiper blades ice up until a few minutes after I close the window.

I try to curtail my smoking until I'm stopped somewhere and can step out when it snows. If I absolutely HAVE to have one, I try to keep my window cracked just enough for the smoke to blow out commensurate with my road speed. However, the way the 4-wheelers drive here in PA during bad weather (and how close to my truck they are while doing so), I end up keeping both hands on the wheel and forgoing the smoke because I'm nearly too damn scared to only have one hand on the wheel at that point.

It creates a vortex of sorts that recirculates the hot air back to the windshield. It works best in temperatures down to about 20. When it drops below that, turn the defroster off and keep the windshield as cold as you can. At lower temps, the snow and stuff falling out of the sky is hard frozen and will slide right off a windshield that doesn't melt it.

I usually find myself driving in warmer temps then entering cold. For example, starting in late afternoon & driving into the night. So there's never a right moment to make that transition from hot glass to cold glass. And if you stop, warm air inside the cab will start heating up the windshield.

I trade my personal vehicles in when they need new wipers. Or oil changes, whichever comes first.

The truck's shop doesn't even get Anco. Apparently there's a brand even lower end than that. And they're nearly useless. "Safety first and always." Pfft.

I just replaced my wipers on my personal vehicle From the traditional wiper to the one piece bowed type of wiper.
There is good news and bad news and they are both the same. The drivers side wiper works perfect and the passengers side, not so much.
Clear wiper sweep on the drivers side.
Winning!:thumbsup::rolllaugh:
Fur fuck sakes! Can't they just make both wipers work right?:confused-96:

I’d pay $100 for one wiper blade IF it was guaranteed to work out of the box, AND last 6 months.

We’ve been to the moon and back. Yet we can’t make a got-dang wiper blade...

Like THE Jerry Seinfeld said, They worst thing we ever did was go to the moon. Now the bar is set so high for even a cup of coffee.
Paraphrasing of course.
