West coast mirror disassembly

Anybody ever tried this? Do I just assume I’m going to break the mirror?

Does the heating element plug in, in the mirror head?

I’m not sure why the dealer is saying they don’t sell a replacement gasket.

Better off with switching to Grote mirrors? (Which, they most likely are made by Grote anyway)

Heated west coast mind and Ora are a pain in the ass. It’s possible to change the glass. Heating element should have spade connectors on the head. I would go with grote, I would also replace the whole assembly

I ordered in a pair of those. Supposedly discontinued so we’ll see what happens.

I know they sell replacement glass but seriously to change it is next to impossible. Replacing the assembly is definitely the better way to go.
