We need trucking articles - Ready to go with a new content system.

We are ready to open up a content area (with new homepage) for the site. Our goal is to populate the entire content area with articles from our members here on the forum because we feel like there is nobody more capable when it comes to helping truckers than the truckers themselves.

If you have an article you would like to contribute, or have any questions, just PM me and let me know. I will give you an email address to send the articles to, and try to answer any questions you may have.

If you have posted article quality threads here on the forum in the past, and would like them to be considered for article use, let us know.

The system is ready to go now, but hidden until we have a few articles to fill it with.

For those who are interested, here is basically what we are looking for:

• Trucking Related
  We will create article categories as we get the articles to fill the categories, keeping everything easy to locate.
• 400+ words
  This isn't set in stone, but something to shoot for. The more content in the article, the better. At the same time though, you don't want to overword an article just to make it longer. If it takes 400 words to complete the article, then stop there. If you need 1000 words, make it 1000 words. If you have a solid article that doesn't reach 400 words, that is fine too.

This can be anything trucking related. We simply want to give helpful information to other drivers and potential drivers. (winter driving, backing tips, proper gear for your truck, jobseeking, health, cooking in your truck, truck stop reviews, etc...)

Not sure if any of you know what this is, but I am going to install "Wordpress". If you choose to write articles on any sort of a regular basis, I will most likely show you how the system works, and turn you loose directly creating the articles on the system. Until then, they can just be emailed to me.

Editing: Any punctuation/spelling errors that I notice, I will correct. Also, I may edit the title to make it more attractive to search engines. Other than that, anything you write will be published as you write it. If you happen to notice something wrong at a later date, you can simply let me know and I can fix it.

Newest articles will be displayed on the front page of the website. Depending on how many articles we are getting, we will probably display snippets to about 5 articles on the homepage, and the rest will be easily locate by clicking on "category" links.
