Actually, no. 9 times out of 10 the trucking co will settle out of court to avoid a trial. Of course this will not protect the driver from being sued.

Why do you think these companies are all gung-ho about the "camera in the cab" idea. "Wasn't our fault, here's video proving the driver wasn't paying attention. So sue him and not us".

What I'm surprised that hasn't been done yet is a CB mic that has like 10 buttons on the back. You plug a usb cable into it and download your favorite audio clips then just push a button and it plays. Very simple to do. Or a Bluetooth display on the back of your trailer and an APP on your phone to display a message. Also simple to make.
