Truckers for trump to boycott driving to ny city!!!

one thing I have learned is a boycott, strike or whatever will never happen trucker do have the power to effect change but most simply talk big but could care less
I'm experiencing exactly this where I'm at right now. I posted to the group chat how our local Target isn't enforcing the tandem slide edict as brought down by the email overlords, and that we're wasting time and effort until they do, and the minion owner operators came down on me with the "what the company wants the company gets"

I'm sitting here like okay fine if they actually require it but corporate edict doesn't always translate to local enforcement. And load planner puts a text out saying to tell her who doesn't slide tandems and that o/o will be banned from Target, irrespective of actual Target enforcement.

The only reason I said anything was because I went into Target and saw they weren't sliding the tandems on their own trailers, and only our chassis had a few slid. So locally it's not even a thing.

Seriously truckers talk shit in private but they're such ass kissers to their overlords. It's absurd. That's why we get no serious government representation and the ATA consistently beats the shit out of OOIDA.

It was kind of a trigger for me to say fuck this and be an employee with full benefits again, because I can cow tow if I'm actually earning a decent living with full benefits.

I'm so whory right now I'd run to NYC if the money was okay. I did Staten Island once so I'm a veteran.
Do you mean the marine terminal there?

That ain't nuttin'. I been there a few times live loading bananas.

Back in the mid 2000's Hunt's Point in the Bronx was rumored to be like the Gaza strip.

Since I was coming from Iowa, I stopped at the house and grabbed several guns, envisioning getting surrounded by thugs and needing to shoot my way out.

I got there and it was just a few blocks of mostly deserted urban streets, then when I got to Hunts Point, the whole facility was surrounded by a barbed wire fence and had a guard shack, and security guards patrolling in cars.

There's a pretty decent size staging area where you can park & sleep, and these Asian guys drive around putting Chinese food menus on everybody's trucks. They deliver right to the truck.

The staging area had a direct view of the infamous Rikers Island jail. I don't know if that's what kept the crackheads away, but it at least serves as a visual reminder that they actually enforce the law and maintain some kind of order in that God forsaken environment.

Whatever passes as "society" there, is somewhat under human control.

So I left my guns at home when I went there from then on, never had a problem.

The barbed wire was to keep the hookers out, not the drug dealers. The Port Authority kept the drugs under control.

Hookers aren't a security problem, just an annoyance if they wake me up knocking on the truck.

I was concerned about thieves, truckjackers, etc.

I only experienced a hooker once. I was riding along with my dad OTR-ish (probably regional by today's standards) and a toothless thing came knocking. He shooed her away. I thought maybe we could have gotten a bulk discount.

I don't remember where this was but I do remember an MS Carriers trailer in the lot. So it was before Swift bought them.

There were MS Carriers trailers in use for years after the buyout. They never bothered to change the graphics on them.

Truckers should refuse to pick up or deliver in any state that allows autonomous trucks to operate.

Or any location difficult to get to without using a toll road.

Or any state that violates our 2nd amendment rights.

But it ain't gonna happen because there's no such thing as unity any more.

I don't remember a time since the early 70's when that happened. The fuel embargo of '73 was the last time I saw any truckers unite.

Hopefully something like this will happen in ca after this then shitcago Oregon and so on. Bud light learned the power of the people. It's time for the hard left loons to go

Bud light learned the power of the alcoholics.
Fixed.

With all the other acts of left wing lunacy in the past decade, this is the one piece of "wokeness" that actually resulted in an effective boycott?

I can't help but point out what this observation means.

It means that regular beer drinkers are the only stand-up, good Americans left.

😥
