Someone made a comment thinking he might have overreved the snot out of it trying to get it in a gear, threw a rod, blew the block apart, knocked the steering out, and that's why he went straight down so fast with no apparent effort to steer.

I can actually buy that. I can't really see the guy through the reflective window at those blurry resolutions so it's hard to say what he's doing in the cab.
