The new term for road construction sites... (Just doing some test post, with this new format)

DOT is getting pretty clever out there. With their quippy digital messages (some are quite funny).
Now they're reverting to doing this.

I think some places they forget to take them down or something as I'll be driving expecting to see a change, but dont really see anything diff.

Wreaking havoc about this time of the year.

Dozing for no reason @10 am when I'm usually at my alertest.

I call them orange barrel zones.

To call it "construction" only applies if a new road is being built where there never was one before.

"Road work" implies there is actually work being done, when most of the time I go through one, it's just orange barrels, bottlenecks, ridiculously slow speed limits and some parked & unattended equipment. If there are actually any people present, it's a cop with his radar gun.
