Tesla tanking

You can want it all you want, just don't piss your money away.
IE: Tires for one are over $1000 each and you only get 5000 miles out of them. The buyers complained about tire noise in their supposed quiet car. So, special tires had to be made just for them.

I'd rather drive a truck with an 8V-92 and straight pipes.
That's why you're deaf. 😂

My next car if it's a car is going to have to be either a hatchback or a wagon. But like a real hatchback that has a gate like a wagon. VW Golf as an example. Big opening, low sill. SUV might be okay instead like the old Navigator I had. It's not LOW but it's not a lift over.

Otherwise it's probably just gonna have to be a new(er) pickup. Doesn't have to be brand spanking new, just newer to be more livable than the old F250. Something I can drive to a photo/videoshoot and not have my ass kicked before I even get there.

My very first truck, before I even made trucking a career, was a 1970 KW K-125 with an 8V-71/318 with a set of 6" straight pipes coming off of the 3" manifold and up the back of the sleeper. HUH!! I CAN'T HEAR YOU! The company found out I lied about my age and cancelled lease contract contract.

Back then, your application was your name and number on a paper napkin.

Get a clean F-150 4X4 from a southern state and you have the best of both vehicle worlds.

I was reading about LiFePo4 batteries last night.

Lithium Ferrophosphate, four 3.2 volt cells = 12.8 volts.

Lithium Iron, not ion.

Supposedly that's what Teslas use now. Like I think 4 parallel groups of 4 in series.

It's $200 for one 100 amp hour battery.

Theoretically you can piece one together for $3200 but they also need battery management systems that make sure all 4 parallel groups maintain equal state of charge.

You can get the battery management systems for like 5 bucks each from China.

There's gotta be more than 51.2 volts in a Tesla so Elon probably uses more than just 16 of them. :dunno: That's just what I got from Wikipedia.

EV battery technology isn't quite there yet. But I'd imagine i could build a pretty badass hybrid electric raft or pontoon boat with those things.

I've already calculated that I could do a 3 day camping trip including 7 miles of 54 amp trolling motor usage & about 36 hours of stereo and 18 hours of LED lights with 150 amp hours.

I could use a single 100 amp hour battery if I bring 200 watts (16 amps) worth of solar panels and pick a campsite with a sunny spot.

On my particular favorite stretch of river, all the good camping areas are in the first 2 miles of the 7 mile section between public boat ramps.

So if I go one mile, camp, recharge the battery with the sun so it's full before we leave, then it's only a 6 mile trip.

Blah blah blah...

You're the expert you should convert the Murray.

But then you have to worry about @Sinister falling off the raft and taking the batteries to the bottom.

Well he didn't knock my regular old lead acid deep cycle in the water.

Funny thing about that trip.. The next day I noticed I was missing two chairs, not just the one.

Sarah says "yeah you knocked one off the raft when you guys stopped to pee on shore"

:dunno:

She was the only sober person on the raft that day so I guess I gotta assume she was right. 😂

Good thing she was there. Always good to have a sober person to recollect what happened.

I am now using that as my wallpaper on my home screen.
Hold that thought. I have another one going up on Sunday at 01:00. I get some better pix for you. That was a spur of the moment thing because I see them so much. If I knew how to shoot the video and resize it, I could post that. Not sure what the max is the site will allow. I know my gmail program won't do over 25mb in an email. The phone uses up 25 mb in about 20-30 seconds.

Follow me, my child, and I shall teach you the ways of the gimbal and the Tube of You.

Cool! I am looking forward to it.
