Spy cams in trucks

I've been doing lots of research and looking at many companies.

The most disgusting and appalling thing yet is cameras and microphones aimed not at the road, but the cab.

I got a very warm feeling about Millis Transfer. Upon review of a more recent set of posts on numerous "company review" sites I learned that sometime during December 2014, Millis Transfer decided to go rogue and Commie and invade their Drivers' space and both listen and watch their every move apparently night and day including during their 10 hr breaks.

That is one disgusting deal breaker for me! Are any other companies doing spy cams? Please tell me this is unique to one friggin NAZI company!!!

Nope. Not unique.

Dang it! Schneider was talking this garbage 6 years ago and the negative backlash made them back off the idea.

So invasion of privacy is one more thing drivers just laid down and took huh? That makes me very sad. Well, guess if I'm getting back in the truck, i'll just have to go O/O a little faster than I thought. Because that's just wrong!

Only people who cry about the cams are knuckle dragging. Tailgating, sharp lane switching, texters and cyber porn watching while they drive steering wheel holders. Who wouldn't get another gig if they showed the video of the clown on his Dac. Heck they need to put the videos on Dac and should be reviewed by dot when you get your license. If you want privacy stay home and wear a tin foil hat. Geeze Louise

Surely the Filthy B's don't think they can sell the videos of drivers do they?
Most of the time that's gotta be some baaaaad naked!!!

Well Millis just bumped their Regional pay to 50 cents/ mile prolly cause a huge amount of their drivers told them to hang it!

Oh.... The new regional trucks went sub-compact as well. 36 " bunks right up against the front seats and apparently very cramped. Not recommended for big fatties or non-exhibitionists!

I'm guessing nobody told you not to drink the kool-aid......
Is this one of your clever ninja jokes. Yes I love red kool--aid n fried chicken while being watched by the drive cams. Haven't you heard the Kelly clarkson song" what doesn't kill you make you stronger" a super trucker will survive.

Had mine over a year our company has over 700 trucks. It's been on website even b4 they put them in all the trucks. Still have 15 plus In orientation every week.

Abilene, Conway freight, Sysco, Us foods and on the other site. ACT is about to put them in their trucks. Really hard to set them off. I guess you really have to to some terrible driving. I had yo make a quick stop at a light nothing, hit rumble strips in construction nothing. It's really a big fuss about nothing. Just like the elog thing. We are all going to go broke with elogs n new hours is service. Hogwash or maybe back to the "a super trucker will survive" jingle. Getter done!!

Ok, you just lost your man card. Sorry to have to break the bad news to you.

Are you super truckin' to Taylor Swift too? ;)
I was gonna blast you...then I read his post.

Cameras in trucks.....

If you don't own the truck, if taxes are withheld from your checks, get the fug over yerselves!

First and foremost I want to protect you....my asset....secondly I will protect my company.

Threaten me and you're done. Threaten yourself and I will protect you like I protect my offspring....Dumass!

Dude man cards don't you know My Super Truckers Haul of fame Platinum Plus with the ice road trucking endorsement trumps that. Not sure who sings this jam but my Dover police officer friend will have a platinum plus card sent to him.

All of your jokes aside, spying is not checking to see how a driver is doing or not doing, all you need to do is look at the on time and if the load is there on time. what a driver does or not on down time is on him or her. You joke all you want,I made a life out of trucking it was hard work and to have someone spy on me,i would not like to be the one I went after for doing that to me. I had drivers and paid them well and never I mean never would I think to spy on them. bs to all who think it is right to spy.!!!

Sir I'm not sure how long you been out of trucking but most companies don't like to answer the phone or Qualcomm . Let alone spend all their time watching triple chin Freddy hold a steering wheel or sing Taylor Swifts greatest hits. Do you know how much trouble a company can get in if it was a true spy cam and they failed to alert driver to stop checking out the bra section on Victoria'a secret dot com. While driving and he ends up plowing into a school bus?

I'm getting old in almost 40 I may slip n fall and with the broom handle reach the drive cam manual record button and I can say " I have fallan and I can't get up"

Or maybe a couple ninja's try to steal the 007 k Dubya machine and while they try to disable the cam it captures there face and the authorities are notified and my truck is ninja free once again.

I could go on. But nobody has to work for a company that has them. I kinda like the job security thing if hopefully getting all the bad apples out b4 they cause equipment or lawsuit damage to my beloved company.

I truly wish this had been DELETED before i read it. I have lost all respect for Dinomite and will be unable to take any of his comments seriously from this point on. :whip:

I could expect that sort of behavior if I drove a truck in CHINA!

An idiot who for example texts & drives will be called in on for weaving all over the road like he is drunk. He won't be driving long.

If a driver has a fender bender, his log book gets-scrutinized first. If it is anything that get attorneys involved, they look at the time of the accident, then compare it to cell phone records.

If the company wants useful data, I strongly applaud them for turning the camera to the road. They might actually get some footage helpful to defend their bank account from being raped by an ambulance chaser and his 4 wheeler client.

The vast majority of the time, the four wheeler driver is at fault.

Spy-caming the driver in-cab to me is CREEPY!

If drivers allow this, the next thing you know, there will be justification for video in their homes on TAH!

I draw a line in the sand and say hell no to that nonsense at them having the ability to tape/listen to me ant time they want in what may be their equipment, but is now MY domicile.

I also have a problem with hauling multi-million dollar loads and not being allowed to pack heat. That's also un-American. Frigg'in Commies!!
