Here is a "Smart" car that some guy put a Hyabusa motorcycle engine into. I'm not so sure if it is really "Smart" but it is wicked fast!

i wouldn'ttouch one i seen all the mods though there cool but they have issues and for the price of em and the mpg i can think of smarter cars than that i don't think there gonna make it much longer who know and that little cars diet is preium fuel. i know theres a problem with it shifting gears theres a wait of like 30 seconds.

30 seconds? Really?

30 seconds is a long time.

Are you sure is isn't more like a half a second?

I think it is kind of like the Autoshift and Ultrashift gearboxes in big trucks. They are manual gearboxes but the shifting is automated, and therefore the shifting takes a bit longer than if you were able to shift manually, or if it were a true automatic.

I did watch it. He said "About a half second." That is about 1/60th of 30 seconds, I think.

ah ok been a while since i watched the vid i rember the crash vid looks like it can take a beatin but for almost 30 k fully loaded i don't know how well they' do over here but every one in calf has one though and that damm prius thought it would befun to get one and toy with it with the kits and all. only has a two year 24k mile warrany

our neighbor has a vw jetta TDI and i asked what the mpg was on it they said like 45 50 mpg in the city and some crazy thing like 67 mpg on the freeway but there blowing the compitition away on mpg's. now vw wants to come out with a 230 mpg car that should be interesting

No worries when they bring out an engine with that kind of fuel economy and everybody buys one, The oil companies will jack up the price of fuel because they are not selling as much.lol
