Rumor USA & US Xpress routing 100's of trucks to terminals for shut down

My humble .02, for what its worth. It never ceases to amaze me at the stupidity of the American electorate as a whole. They keep reelecting these same airholes over abd over. It's hard to beleive that there are that many gullible people out there who actually beleive all those empty election promises. Ted Kennedy for example, hasn't had a coherent thought since his brother got whacked in 1962. He got drunk and crashed a car that resulted in the death of a young woman and then fled the seen, but he's still in office. If I were to do something like that I would be under the jail, not just in it. The educated idiots our colleges have been turning out for the last thirty years are now running the show. The lunatics are now running the asylum and we only have ourselves to thank.:wtf::banghead:

Well I guess it's true, according to Ron White "You Can't Fix Stupid"... We have a heck of alot of stupid or probably should say, uneducated people..

I wonder how many of these truckers that are losing their jobs said back in april they wouldn't support the shutdown because they figured thier jobs were secure and the hell with helping other truckers in trying to help fix the problems in this business.

I can remember a lot of truckers that refused to help as they had theirs and some that even went as far as to talk and act against uniting the trucking professionasl into one voice. I still remember spending a day cleaning off egg from the side of my truck because I had the audacity to speak up for the people trying to stand together to improve things. To that fool I hope you are one of the ones on the soup line now, to the rest I hope you learned that to not do anything is not the way to go we all need to hang together or we will swing separately and slowly choke on what is being done to all of us.

I supported the shutdown, the best way I knew possible. I am not fortunate enough to tell my company when I will work and when I won't. I had just started with the new company, so I had no time off I had to work.

I did however do my work completely legal..

And now I am not 100% sure of my job either. My company a couple of months ago filed bankruptcy.

I have seen them selling off un used equipment within the last month or so. They also went back and looked at the ONLY contract we are doing as of now, and said Our shop/terminal (KY) was getting paid to deadhead home from PA, and we were not suppose to get this. So now every Thursday or Friday I get to drive 300+ miles for nothing..

I look for them to remove the deadhead pay from my shop/terminal to Detroit,MI within a couple of weeks, if so I would say I know about 15 drivers who will no longer be working here.

i have had my frieght pick in the last 2 weeks. with all the bigger companys going out , they are calling us smaller guys to pick up the slack.

Our truck is running, Hubby had to leave Xmas night to load this morning. But he is dead-heading off the sandbar.
Been seeing the pumpkins running 75 north & south.

it seems like the bigger companys are slimming down. i may need anouther truck if things keeps going they way they are. but you know what they say as one falls two shall rise from the ashes .

I emailed USX and acted dumb u know lol anyways I acted like I was thinken about driving for them.I asked the recruiter if USX is laying off drivers, she said yes they are in some areas.

:beep:

I was at the Flying J in Kingman, AZ around 4pm when I saw a US Express Truck. I told the driver I read a rumor that US Express was giving their drivers the option of teaming, going L/O, or getting laid off. He said the only thing he heard was that California drivers were being required to drive teams.

This rumor may be "busted". :paddle:

I'll check with another driver when I have a chance.

:tiphat:

:beep:

I spoke with a second US Express driver, my neighbor, today, an O/O. He said they are laying off 400 drivers.

I told him another us express driver told me that they want CA drivers to drive teams. He said oh, that's western regional.

He has been off since 12/24 and he's going back 1/19.

Has anyone else heard anything about US Express or USA?

:tiphat:
