June 3-5, 2008 is the date that has been announced for Roadcheck 2008. For those who don't know about this event, an increased effort is made toward the inspection of trucks and buses.
The goal is supposed to be getting a focus on removing unsafe motor vehicles from the Nation's roadways. I am sure the extra income involved in the numerous violations handed out has a little something to do with it as well.
More than 10,000 officers are expected to be placed on duty for this 3 day (72 hour) event.
A top priority during this nationwide even will be seatbelts, so be sure you are wearing them.
