Fight all u want this issue is pretty much decided,whatever Obama wants Obama gets.He wants all minorites to enter the states so he can get those xtra votes come next term.It's been great not listening to the news anymore.I'm tired of hearing Obama this Obama that.So far NOTHING he has done for our country I agree with.

They are already here. I ran through a snowstorm in Kansas a couple of weeks ago and was held up behind a truck by a Mexican who had spent more on tricking his truck than maintaining and repairing it. This Pete looked real sweet, custom paint, tons of chrome, lowered, you guys know the kind. Seems his wipers were broken and he couldn't afford to fix them, he was also too damn stupid to get off of the road even though he couldn't see for s**t! Weaving back and forth, running about 30 and every time someone would ask him what was up or if he could let them by the response was mostly Spanish and broken English. "So sorry senor, I have to get my load delivered".
I don't understand how someone can find money for appearance and not for necessity.

As it stands right now gearjammer is correct, mexican truckers will be exempt from CSA2010. We are having a hard time enforcing that they meet DOT & some of FMCR Regulations

That is just wrong! Every truck that crosses our border should be required to meet our laws and regulations.

It took forever to get the agreement settled from the North Boarder Crossing.
I do not know anything specific, but I am afraid as long as the Mexican government is able to falsify more of the documentation that Mexican Trucking Companies have been providing to the FMCR and D.C to keep this in place, it is going to come to a permenant agreement before long. There are to many of the large USA Carriers setting or have already set up terminals with in the Mexican Borders. I hate to say it, but money people like that have a lot more pull then we as plain citizens will ever have on our own government.

Mexican trucks and drivers can come up here provided they pas a level 1 inspection every time they come up here. If they get stopped anywhere and it's found they don't pass at any time while here, their visit visa immediately expires and they're outa here. And make 'em pay all the taxes we do. Hey- criminals have more rights in this country than legal citizens. Next, Al Quaeda trucks will be allowed too, right? Just no hazmat lol!

What the gov is proposing is illegal! AND just not right! American truckers are held to a much higher standard than Mexican law. I say if they dont meet FMCSR standards, then they dont belong here! Period!

I can guarantee you that every truck that crosses from Mexico to the USA is not getting a level one inspection done. The level one inspection is not my only concern, medical qualifications, entry level training documentation, log violations, hours of service

The teamsters does not and will not have the final say on the boarder crossing. It will eventually come down to the money people and who in D.C. is in their pocket

:bullhorn: This might be a stupid question but I'll ask anyway. I wonder how many Terrorists will try and enter the US from Mexico via driving or hiding out in trucks? There's already enough hatred/racism in this world today and this sort of thing is just going to add more heat to the fire! I'm just afraid if this law does pass that it's going to cause a lot of confrontations at truck stops, over the CB and God only knows we don't need it on OUR highways!

Terrorists have already crossed into this country from all of our borders. It has been noted many times in the news. I seem to remember a story about a Mexican trucker trying to smuggle some people in his truck and there was a question about the national origin of some of those people.
A few years ago they caught a dumbass terrorist crossing into Washington state on the ferry from Victoria, BC. The trunk of his car was full of explosives and they believe he was going to try and blow up LAX or maybe the Space Needle in Seattle on New Years. Either way he was caught and at his trial the defense attorneys tried to get him off on a technicality saying his rights had been violated during his arrest and processing.
As said before: It is the responsibility of each and every one of us to fight the radical Muslim terrorist threat. We do need to be very careful though to not treat all Muslim people as if they are radical Muslim terrorists.
